School Trips

Elm is an ideal destination for class trips. The fantastic alpine environment and abundant flora and fauna are beyond compare. Under the Tschingelhoren mountains with the famous Martin’s Hole’, you can see the slightly yellowed, razor-sharp notch in the rock face, evident from a great distance. The Tectonic Arena Sardona is no longer world-renowned only among experts - it has been named a UNESCO world heritage site.

Schools can learn interesting facts about slate by exploring the mine in Engi, or on a tour of the Elm slate factory. Afterwards, students are free to enjoy a pleasant lunch on the sun terrace at Ämpächli.
