Kärpf Trail (Wildmad) 
Highly popular with schools and groups, this hike leads from Kies past the Garichti Reservoir and over the Wildmadfurggeli through the Freiberg Kärpf to Elm. over the Wildmadfurggeli through the Freiberg Kärpf to Elm. On the route from Schwanden to Elm, nine sculptures tell the story of times gone by (books on local history available at the gondola office).

Schwanden – Kies (Bus), Kies – Mettmen (Gondola),
Mettmen – Wildmadfurggeli – Ämpächli (Hike),
Ämpächli – Talstation Sportbahnen Elm (Gondola),
Elm – Schwanden (Bus)
All buses have a direct connection with the Kies – Mettmen cable car.
